Isabelle Tarran is a twenty-one year old singer and songwriter based in Merseyside. Since she was young, she has always loved music, and has been a part of audition only choirs, acapella groups, musical theatre productions and rock bands whilst growing up.

In 2023, Isabelle graduated with a First Class Honours Degree from Goldsmiths University of London, where she studied Popular Music. In her final year, she completed a research project entitled "Everything is all reused: A study on nostalgia in the music industry from critical, creative and commercial perspectives." Click here to read the essay, which features a case study on Olivia Rodrigo.

Isabelle has lived in many different places in her life. She was born in Manchester, and lived there until she was nine, when she moved to New Jersey in America. Now, she lives in Liverpool. Due to living in so many different cities, she has had a wide variety of performance opportunities. She has performed at cafes, restaurants, county fairs, churches and festivals around New Jersey and Liverpool.

As a songwriter, Isabelle is influenced by artists such as Birdy, AURORA, Bon Iver, Hayley Williams and Carole King. Like many of these artists, she considers herself a storyteller, and hopes to evoke feeling in those who listen to her music. She began songwriting at age thirteen, and people were immediately taken with her strong hooks, haunting melodies and soulful sounds. Since then, she has continued to write many songs about her own experience and the experiences of those around her, and continues to impress each time.

The sort of track you’d sing into your hairbrush while you dance on your bed, this unapologetic number blends 80s infused electronica and nu-pop vibes. Co-written and performed by Carta Inc and Isabelle Tarran, this pairing certainly will raise eyebrows and leave you wanting more.

- About "Without Your Love"

Claudia, The Other Side Reviews

Her performance is really relatable as she unapologetically lets someone know that she is better off without them. Throughout the single, she reflects on broken promises that littered a relationship. The lyrics and her delivery are so catchy that you are going to be singing along on the chorus.

Thomas Bedward, Broken 8 Records

Isabelle’s latest release... has really captured our attention, drifting through the cosmic ether with a potent mix of arresting melody and bold, self-conscious lyrics. Shining with vulnerability, candour, and a gorgeous, emotive quality, the song perfectly reflects the struggles with overwhelming desires that we all face from time to time.
